Job description

We are seeking a Part- Time Logistics, Security Officer to become an integral part of our team. The selected individual will greet, patrol and secure assigned premises as well as identify risks to staff and patrons.

Hours / Shifts:

MONDAYS, TUESDAYS, WEDNESDAYS: 2P-10P (8 HRS PER DAY) = 24 WEEKLY HRS

Responsibilities:

• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules
• Secure premises and personnel by standing on post and monitoring property
• Log and monitor all inbound and outbound trailers and containers in the Yard Management System
• Maintain knowledge of the security procedures and practices
• Strong ability to be attentive to detail and observant of surroundings
• Responsible for guarding entrances and exits
• Knowledge of reporting incidents and answering Customer's service calls for assistance
• Adhere to company and client policies and procedures
• Maintain a clean / professional uniform appearance

​Qualifications:

• You must be authorized to work in the United States
• A minimum of one - three (1-3) years work history in a Security Officer role
• Valid NJSORA
• High School Diploma/GED
• Provide friendly and exceptional customer service for the business
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to write accurate and concise reports
• Ability to handle stressful situations and make sound judgement calmly and effectively
• Individuals are required to work on their feet when performing their inspections
• Strong attention to detail

Preferred Skills

• Experience in logistics
• Previous law enforcement or military experience
• Yardview software experience a plus

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour
