SUMMARY
The Warranty Clerks primary function is to verify and flag the technicians on jobs they perform and to properly invoice customers repair orders. The Warranty Clerk will assist the Warranty Administrator to ensure accurate and fair labor times.
Mercedes Benz or German product warranty experience preferred
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists Warranty Administrator with the following duties:
- Process warranty claims.
- Verify criteria required by factory.
- Maintain service related correspondence and files.
- Obtain customer and vehicle data and pull customer files.
- Assist accounting with coding of invoices for service department, payroll and other requests.
- Book technician time based on manufacturer or nationally recognized published time guides.
- Invoice repair orders.
- Communicate with service consultants and parts counter persons regarding any incorrectly billed repair orders and assist in correcting them.
- Assist in monthly close out as needed and requested by Service Manager.
- Maintain a high degree of accuracy and courtesy.
- Perform all duties within the required time limits.
- Adhere strictly to all company rules, policies and procedures.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of confidential personal information of our customers in compliance with the Federal Trade Commission Safeguards Rule, implementing the provisions of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act as they pertain to automobile dealerships.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
