Job Title: Field Assistant

Location: Vancouver, WA (job site location)

Type: Full-Time

Job Summary: Responsible for assisting the Superintendent on the project jobsite. This position will also assist in monitoring onsite personnel and subcontractors in the execution of work with the end result being a quality project completed safely, on schedule, and within budget

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide general job-site assistance to the Superintendent.
• Assist with monitoring subcontractors’ work and ensure they deliver work competently and in accordance with all applicable construction and engineering standards and codes, contract documents, drawings, specifications, schedules, safety and environmental rules, and quality control/assurance standards.
• Coordinate and oversee subcontractor crews and/or perform miscellaneous field operations work, such as job-site clean up to ensure a tidy and safe jobsite (e.g. sweeping and moving small materials) and shall not include subcontracted trade level type work.
• Assist with various jobsite tasks, such as clean-up and loading/unloading.
• Ability to work well with minimal supervision, as well as in a team environment.
• Working knowledge of all sub trades.
• Working knowledge of computers, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Safety:

• Comply with all safety policies, report suspected safety concerns, make recommendations for enhancements to the safety program, and visibly support and uphold the company’s strong safety culture.

Education, Experience, and Licensing/Certifications:

• High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum of one year of relevant experience in the construction field.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Must have valid drivers license

Physical Requirements:

• Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and reach.
• Occasionally required to crawl.
• Lift 50 lbs and occasionally lift up to 75 lbs.

Pay-$20 to $40 per hour
