The Role


The objective of this position is to investigate and process warranty claims, product complaints and problems reported to the Warranty & Technical Services Department. Activities include scheduling and conducting field inspections, processing claims with back-up documentation, updating claim tracking system, resolving the issue, and conducting all necessary follow-up.


Answers product and installation questions received from homeowners, contractors, distributors, architects, etc. Answer technical questions from the sales support group, territory sales managers, quality control, plants and R&D Centers.


This position works from a remote location and has regular travel by car and plane. Additionally, this position will often climb ladders, traverse uneven ground and roof surfaces. Exposure to outdoor conditions in different areas of the country. Inspections will often require the use of a ladder to make determinations or remove samples. Travel is estimated up to 74%. Air travel could potentially be a significant portion of the travel estimate.


Requirements

  • The minimum level of formal education would be an Associate’s degree and/or 10 years of field inspection or roofing experience with a basic knowledge of siding.
  • Strong skills with Microsoft office products such as Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • The person in this position must always maintain a calm and professional attitude in the representation of CertainTeed.
