Job description
The working foreman must have experience/knowledge of DOT and MOT and be able to read and interpret drawings, lead and support a earthwork crew to complete all operational activities assigned on a project, and create strategies for making schedule and production goals. Extensive experience operating construction equipment: loader, dozer, skid steer, etc. Verifiable experience in this position within this industry required.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership that results in a safe work environment by following all safety policies and procedures.
- Direct crew of 3 to 6 on daily tasks.
- Maintain operation schedule, productions, and budgets.
- Ensure quality work and an organized work environment.
- Complete all required paperwork including; timesheets, quantity reports, and material delivery tracking.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of supervising experience in Earthwork related operations.
- Must be able to read and interpret project plans and specification.
- Must be able to plan crews work to maintain schedule and achieve production goals.
- Must demonstrate knowledge of roadway construction
- Must possess DOT and MOT experience/knowledge
- Must be proficient with GPS
- Must have a valid driver’s license with clean driving record for minimum of 3 years.
- MUST CURRENTLY RESIDE IN SOUTHWEST FLORIDA AREA (Lee, Charlotte, Sarasota, Hendry & Collier Counties). Candidates from outside of the area will not be considered.
