We have an opening for a full-time General Manager at our Kailua-Kona location.

Position Summary:

Manage and lead site retail and operations team members in achieving goals, budgets, and KPIs while facilitating team cohesion, embracing change, and ensuring a best-in-class customer experience.

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the facility and perform management duties such as hiring, training, and managing Retail Sales Consultants, managing the office, porter, and facility operations, maintaining inventory control, and ensuring an exceptional in-store experience for every guest. Assist the sales team with their store and personal sales goals, achieve your own personal sales quotas, and cultivate a team environment that puts the customer’s best interest as the top priority.

Responsible for operations of the warehouse, including warehouse, prep, delivery, delivery support, repair, and field service to operate at levels that meet customers’ needs and established financial benchmarks. Formulate and recommend policies and programs which guide the organization in maintaining and improving its competitive position and profitability. Direct safety program and ensure compliance in all safety matters.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in Sales, Merchandising, Customer Service, or a related field.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to create a positive and collaborative team environment by managing conflict, coaching team members, instilling a growth mindset/framing challenging situations through a positive lens, and fostering team cohesiveness.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and continuously changing requirements, objectives, and business needs.
  • Business acumen and the ability to understand and manage the drivers of business success in the furniture industry.
  • Willingness to be flexible and assist in all aspects of creating the ultimate customer experience and fill in wherever their team needs help.
  • Ability to learn and work with various office software and systems.
  • Ability to use good judgment in making decisions that have a significant impact on the Company’s credibility, operations, and services.
  • Ability to understand complex problems, issues, and opposing viewpoints, while working collaboratively to explore alternative solutions.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and responsibilities of self and others on a short-term and long-term basis.
  • Ability to compose materials such as detailed reports, work-related manuals, publications of limited scope or impact, etc., and/or to make presentations outside the immediate work area.
  • Must be able to handle stressful situations and remain calm, professional, and solution-oriented in all situations.
  • Sitting and/or standing for sustained periods of time and moving throughout the retail space and warehouse.
  • Must be able to lift and/or exert up to 15 pounds of force at times.
