Tubular Steel (a member of the Reliance Steel & Aluminum Co. family of companies) is currently recruiting for our General Metal working department at our plant in New Haven, MO. These key positions are ground level opportunities requiring no former experience in the steel industry. As a bending fabricator and steel tubing resource, we pride ourselves in acquiring individuals with no prior related work experience but hold a proven track record of employment.

Responsibilities:

• Adhere to Tubular Steel’s Health & Safety Program
• Follow safe practices, training principles and company policies as written
• Communicate effectively with lead person, foreman, mgt. team and fellow employees
• Operate equipment in a safe, efficient and productive manner
• Check parts to drawing specification using measurement and inspection equipment
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean orderly fashion following safety principles

Equipment Operation:

• Trip / Punch Press
• Swage / End Former
• Single Head Bending operation
• Band Saw Station
• Cold Saw Station
• Threading Machine

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to read prints/drawings and work instructions
• Can read tape measure, calipers, protractors and documentation
• Can work independently or with additional team members in team environment
• Communicates well using both verbal and legible written reporting

Physical Demands:

• Able to lift up to 35 pounds repeatedly
• Able to walk and stand for extended periods of time
• Able to bend and rotate at the waist many times per hour
• Can climb, stoop, kneel, crouch and reach with hands and arms
• Possess good manual dexterity and balance
• Wear eye protection, steel toe boots and hard hat while working
