About the Help Desk Technician:
MarketStar IT team currently has an opportunity available for a Help Desk Technician
The Help Desk Technician will be responsible for managing support phone calls and emails. He/she will work effectively with end-users and clients to provide timely solutions to service issues and requests in a courteous manner.
Location: Ogden, UT - Hybrid
What will you do?
  • Respond to support phone calls and emails from employees and clients
  • Track, log, and trend issue resolution using Helpdesk ticketing system
  • Troubleshoot customers’ technical issues in person and on the phone
  • Repair and troubleshoot hardware and network connectivity issues
  • Remove old equipment and perform data migration to new machines
  • Manage inventory and track assets
  • All other duties as assigned by IT management or the Support manager
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Pursuing IT Help Desk certifications such as (A+, Net+, Security+)
  • Working knowledge of current Windows OSs and Microsoft Office Suites preferred
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, wireless networks, LAN, WAN, virus protection, email functionality preferred
  • Interest in learning active directory, file servers, and tape backups
  • Self-motivated with the ability to follow through on projects in a timely manner
  • Professional demeanor; good customer service skills in person and on the phone
  • Excellent verbal, writing, and technical writing skill
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Must be able to sit in front of and operate a computer for prolonged periods of time
