Job description
Primary Duties include assisting with the day-to-day operations of the Food Pantry during operating hours and non-operating hours. - Assist with processing all clients, including interviewing, qualifying the client and aiding the client choose his/her groceries (non-perishable items and perishable foods). - Assist with the implementation of Pantry Outreach programs such as Faith & Finances, Free Summer Meals program, Pop-Up Food Pantries, Food Drive, The Christmas Store and any delivery services provided by the Food Pantry., - Maintain food inventory for restocking of Pantry shelves. - Assist with restocking client shopping area, back inventory area and warehouse according to Food Safety guidelines. - Assist with the pickup, delivery and recordkeeping of any food donations and Food Bank orders. - Assist with portioning bulk food items into small portions for disbursement to clients. - Assist with maintaining the Pantry according to Food Safety regulations and Health department inspections. - Assist with the meal prep, serving and clean-up and Food Safety guidelines of the two Food Pantry Soup Kitchens - Assist with and maintain the Food Pantry Community gardens to plant, weed and harvest all produce donated to the Food Pantry.
