General Description
The Accounts Receivable Follow-Up Representative is responsible for tracking claims through the billing process, identifying problem areas, and determining a course of action to resolve aging claims. The representative is responsible an assigned list of accounts, and manages the accounts for resolution of issues and collection of payment. This work is performed with defined productivity goals while maintaining client and patient confidentiality by following the appropriate policies and procedures as outlined by MARS/AMB, governmental regulations, and HIPAA guidelines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Responsible for working assigned list of accounts receivables; responsible for identifying trends which impact revenue and determine best course of action to resolve outstanding accounts; interact with third-party representatives and utilize online Internet sites to review status and update accounts as needed to expedite the claims process. Interact with manager and team members regarding accounts; responsible for the follow up on account research projects, review status of accounts, action taken, and further course of action if warranted; provide updates to management with research findings and status; and perform other duties as directed by management.
Minimum requirements
High level of computer and telephone work; ability to communicate clearly and effectively verbally and in writing; working knowledge of basic computing, including Microsoft Word and Excel programs; time management and work organization skills; strong problem solving and error detection skills; must be able to take direction and work independently; team player able to work in a production-based environment.
TESTING requirements
Typing assessment 35 wpm, Basic Microsoft Word assessment, Basic Microsoft Excel assessment
education requirements
High school diploma or GED equivalent

Two year associates degree preferred
PHYSICAL requirements
Ability to spend a majority of each work day sitting.

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Date Approved: 10/2020

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
