Job description

Work under the direction of the Aquatic Director and Head Lifeguard, the lifeguard is responsible for providing a safe environment for all participants in and around the pool. This includes responding to emergencies and administering aid according to certifications as needed.

LIFEGUARD RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain cleanliness and chemical balance of the pool on appropriate recording forms. Report any concerns to the Aquatic Director or designee immediately.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Aquatic Director and/or Head Lifeguard.
• Supervise the patrons undistractedly and enforce the pool rules.
• Practice preventative lifeguarding by following and enforcing pool rules and policies promptly, and complete a routine check of the pool and deck area regularly throughout their shift.

This position requires a minimum age of 16 years old. Licenses & Certifications Preferred American Red Cross Lifeguard Training course.
