A day in the life of a Logistics Manager
- Oversee and manage freight of all equipment, supplies, materials, reports, data and general communications between the organization and clients
- Manage all international and domestic shipments from this US office
- Create, develop, incorporate, and integrate needed processes and technology that will increase departmental accuracy, efficiency, and production
- Report current procedures and systems that are not effective and direct initiatives to replace or restructure those procedures or systems
- Organize, structure and develop departmental staff for optimum production
Requirements for the Logistics Manager position
- Bachelor’s degree required/Bachelor’s degree in logistics or business management preferred
- Two to five years’ management experience with proven leadership/management skills
- Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
- Strong understanding of ERP systems
- Computer skills necessary including Excel, Word, and Access data bases
- Detail oriented with excellent documentation ability
- Ability to react quickly in an ever-changing environment with excellent problem-solving skill
- Ability to create systems and processes to accommodate department needs
