Job Title: Lower School Fourth Grade TeacherResponsible to: Head of Lower SchoolFLSA Classification: ExemptLast Modified: March 2023 Position Summary: The Haverford School is seeking a full-time fourth grade teacher. Preferred candidates will have at least 3 years of elementary school teaching experience, a solid understanding of differentiated instruction, and a strong understanding of instruction aligned with the science of learning. Essential Duties and Responsibilities?Establish and communicate to students well-defined objectives for each lesson, including related projects and activities?Employ teaching methods to deliver the Schools instructional program which consider the individual needs, interests, abilities, and maturity levels of the students?Establish and communicate to students well-defined objectives for each lesson, including related projects and activities?Provide a structured, supportive, encouraging, and creative classroom environment?Monitor carpool, lunch, recess and playground, as assigned?Possesses an understanding of diversity, equity and inclusion and the implementation of those principles in independent schools?Perform all other duties, tasks, and assignments as directed by the Head of Lower School
