Job Description: Machine Operator- Moulder Operator

Work Location: 7220 US-158, Stokesdale NC

Shifts: Monday - Thursday 3:15PM - 2AM (OT on Fridays as needed)

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Moulder Operator

Job Responsibilities:

• Wear cut resistant gloves, proper eye and ear protection at all times.
• Follow proper lockout/tagout procedures and attain certification.
• Drive a forklift
• Ensure no doors, aisles, electrical panels, or fire extinguishers are being blocked with materials
• Keep machine in safe operating conditions
• Learn the types of stock used to produce all the different patterns that are moulded
• Read specs to ensure patters are run correctly
• Use calipers and a tape measure
• Understanding of the product being run so that they have all the information to make correct decisions when grading.
• Demonstrate the ability to recognize tooling for each profile and assist with installation and removal.
• Demonstrate the ability to start up and shutdown equipment.
• The operator must be able to set up and operate all four moulders that are located at the Stokesdale plant, which vary from a four head moulder to a seven head moulder with a universal saw
• Cut in stones for all our profiles, such as standard door jambs, brick moulding, center mulls, jamb extenders, etc.
• Must be well organized, the operator will be expected to prepare for change overs by having all tools and equipment ready before setup starts.
• Take responsibility and participate in Preventative Maintenance program, the operator is required to assist. This may require OT and Saturday work.
• Operator must do all possible to make sure machine is set up and running at end of shift before finishing each day. Second shift operator is expected to stay and finish set up, include setting all stones so machine is run condition.
• Product must be to spec and quality needs to be up to Endura’s standards
• Insure completion and submission of Quality Control documents (specification check sheets).
• Cutter heads must be maintained and changed out to scheduled run times and lineal requirements.
• Demonstrate ability with QAD work order infeeds and outfeeds. Setup Kerf saw
• Demonstrate ability with Excel type production reports.

PHYSICAL EFFORT: Flow of work and character of duties involve performing some
repetitive hand, wrist, and arm motions. Normal and corrected hearing and vision are necessary with manual coordination some walking, bending, twisting, and stooping and climbing stairs and lifting of approximately 30 lbs. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. RESPONSIBILITY FOR EQUIPMENT: This position must ensure that all
preventative maintenance is completed on a timely basis. Damage to this equipment
would result in a loss for the company. Good housekeeping is a necessity.

WORKING CONDITIONS/HAZARDS: Exposed to normal factory environment (wood
dust) with no factors or hazards present to a disagreeable extent. Employee must be
able to withstand heat up in excess of 95 degrees. Carelessness could result in falls,
back strain, cuts, crushed hand or foot. Caution is required while operating forklift.

• OTHER SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES: Must adhere to all safety rules and

regulations as specified in the Endura’s Safety Manual. This responsibility
necessitates wearing of proper personal protective equipment (i.e. safety glasses & earplugs). The operator is solely responsible for the crew regarding safety training and proper lifting techniques. Ensure all employees in the designated area are following established safety procedures.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS: This job includes other duties and responsibilities assigned by management. Regular attendance is an essential job function.

Qualifications:

• HS Diploma or GED preferred.
• Effectively communicate orally and in writing
• Capable of reading a tape measure, calipers, and pass written exam and driving test for forklift license.
