The winding machine operator operates equipment and machinery and assists other operators in producing, coating, and finishing tissue products. If you enjoy working with your hands, a career as a machine operator might be ideal for you.
The position:

• Operate and monitor machines used to manufacture and finish tissue products
• Install and place paper rolls
• Control operations and converting machinery
• Detect any anomaly in the operation of equipment and machinery
• Ensure that the process steps are carried out according to specifications
• Assist other operators in making the necessary adjustments to the processing machines
• Visually inspect tissue products for defects and make adjustments as required
• Complete and maintain production reports

The ideal profile:

• 18 years or older
• Previous experience as a machine operator
• Previous experience in manufacturing
• Ability to read and interpret written work instructions
• Ability to stand, crouch, and kneel for extended periods
• Ability to lift and manipulate heavy equipment (up to 50 pounds)
• Ability to pass drug screen, background check and E-Verify
