Job description
As a circulation desk attendant at Oberlin College’s main library you are one of the main service points for Library users. The job is mainly comprised of circulating library materials and customer service.
Responsibilities
This position works days, evenings and/or weekends. Responsible for circulation desk customer service; checking out and checking in returned library materials, paging materials (including reserve and AV) held behind the circulation desk for users, answering telephone calls, assisting users in finding materials in OBIS; answering questions about circulation services and referring patrons to other staff and departments, enforcing library policies, maintaining security of building and collection, servicing photocopiers, basic printer maintenance, responding to emergencies, providing security for the building during late weekend hours, and other duties as required.

- Must be enrolled at Oberlin College
- Must be available for FALL SEMESTER 2023
- Must be dependable and punctual
- Must be attentive to detail
- Must be able to follow written and oral instructions
- Must be able to complete tasks independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to write/print legibly
Desired Qualifications:
- Work/study awards
- First and Second year students
- Available to work weeknights until 2 am
- Available to work late Friday and Saturday nights.
Compensation
$10.10/hr.
