SUMMARY

The Maintenance & Facilities Manager will be responsible for the preventative and predictive maintenance of site equipment and the overall upkeep of Marengo’s facilities. This role is responsible for the leading, developing, managing, and execution for all maintenance and facility aspects at the two Marengo sites. This role will ensure performance tracking of the maintenance team, driving continuous improvement actions, and contributing to the maintenance and growth strategy at the site.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and perform maintenance duties to equipment and the facility as needed. Delegate actions to maintenance reports and track performance to completion.
  • Investigate equipment failures and diagnose improper operation, remediate, and recommend future preventative maintenance or countermeasures to avoid failures in the future.
  • Manage, track, perform, and continually improve Preventative Maintenance (PM) program for the facility and equipment, as well as train maintenance team members on PM tasks and process changes
  • Order and maintain inventory of equipment items and spare parts as needed. Create and execute purchase orders to ensure spend aligns with budgets and expectations.
  • Research, design, evaluate, install, and generate maintenance records for equipment needed to meet operational requirements
  • Facilitate capital request process including quotes, creation of projects, and closure of projects
  • Manage third party services such as housekeeping, landscaping, etc. as directed. Validate performance of third party vendors and provide feedback as needed.
  • Development of employees knowledge and skills for future roles and assignments.
  • Lead by example for safety and quality through discipline and 5S program.

Requirements

Critical Competencies

  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to read pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical schematics
  • Ability to methodically problem solve and critically think in order to design, develop, execute, and improve systems
  • Knowledge of engineering and technology to apply these principles to equipment selection, design, and procurement, installation, application, and repair.
  • Driven to learn new principles, skills, and technology for continuous improvement
  • Ability to establish a culture of teamwork, personal accountability, and ownership of results

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, or other related field of study.
  • 5+ years of maintenance and/or facilities related experience in a manufacturing/operations related environment. Experience in Engineering roles also considered.
  • CNC machining repair and troubleshooting experience preferred.

Pay: $118,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
