MAINTENANCE MECHANIC

Wage: Great Wage & dependant on experience

Manager: Maintenance Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure food safety, quality and legality
• Troubleshoot mechanical problems
• Make repairs and alterations for facility as directed
• Performs mechanical and electrical preventive maintenance as required
• Assists in the assembly and dismantling of production machinery
• Maintains accurate record of completed assignments
• Keeps management informed of machinery and facility problems
• Assists in other departmental areas as needed

Physical Requirements:

• Extensive mobility and excellent physical condition; ability to lift 75 lbs.; ability to operate all necessary hand tools; ability to kneel, crouch, climb, crawl, etc. to reach items in need of repair; ability to drive fork lift; tolerance to all extreme weather conditions, such as very hot or very cold temperatures

• In-depth knowledge of facility operations, people, products, and equipment
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local requirements and guidelines necessary to operating a raw processing facility
