Summary: As the Maintenance Supervisor, you are the facility equipment and systems subject matter expert delivering innovative solutions to improve and enhance maintenance operations. You will lead the maintenance team by identifying, prioritizing, and executing preventative maintenance and repair of all plant production and facilities equipment to increase plant capacity, capabilities, and efficiencies.

Education: Associate degree, vocational education, or technical education in electrical, electronic, mechanical, or maintenance engineering technology required.

Experience:

  • Minimum 6 years related on-the-job experience in facilities maintenance required
  • Minimum of 2 years managing others (Required)
  • Proficient in MS Office, Excel, and Maintenance Software. (Required)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to lead, direct, and provide support to the maintenance team on a regular basis to ensure high efficiency of work.
  • Skilled in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, welding, hydraulic, hand tools, table saws, table drills, welder, and all air tools.
  • Ability to communicate, read and interpret documents written in English.
  • Applies continuous improvement principles in own work performance and drives continuous improvement application with maintenance team.
  • Working knowledge of preventative maintenance processes and procedures
  • Excellent customer satisfaction skills.
  • Skilled in organizational time management


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leads maintenance staff. Manages and directs workflow of maintenance technicians in all areas of the facility.
  • Trains technicians in their assignments.
  • Recommends and plans maintenance programs and work schedules to minimize equipment "downtime", which may require working outside of standard hours.
  • Advises general manager of any major problems with equipment or grounds and building.
  • Handles multiple projects and daily activities to meet deadlines and develop plans on how to accomplish departmental and distribution goals.
  • Coordinates contract work with outside sources such as electrician, plumbers, gardeners, and cleaning personnel, etc.
  • Completes reports and other administrative duties as required.
  • Understands and complies with federal, state, and local regulations, building codes and OSHA standards and regulations.
  • Drives and ensures that all safety programs and procedures are followed.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

The employee is required to both see and hear. The employee occasionally lifts to 50 lbs. and work under adverse conditions (e.g., dirty, noisy, or confined spaces).

Work Environment: The environment is both office and manufacturing. The manufacturing environment is subject to moderate changes in temperature and the employee will be exposed to typical hazards of noise, flying debris, and overhead hazards requiring the use of proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
