Kimball Midwest, a national distributor of maintenance, repair and operation products, is searching for a Material Handler/Forklift Driver for our Stocking Department in our Columbus, OH, location.

This position will be responsible for

  • Oversees that merchandise is being correctly placed in backstock.
  • Ensures that the correct merchandise is being matched up with the rest of the order and initials next to the line on the physical order when filling it from backstock or hose.
  • Rotates all stock in shop supplies when putting away (i.e. chemicals, batteries, sealants, etc.)
  • Contributes to the physical inventory cycle counting process and ensures that the counts are done quickly and accurately.
  • Takes pride in his/her work.
  • Pull merchandise from backstock to primary location.
  • Accurately moves merchandise to and from backstock with the scanner.
  • Consolidates skids in the backstock areas to open up free bins when time permits.
  • Helps in all areas when needed.
  • Pulls all products from back-stock to finish orders and replenish shelves.
  • Places all over stock items into back-stock with accurate count and part number.
  • Identifies incoming merchandise and sorts onto wooden carts separating by location in warehouse.

13. Distributes received merchandise to the appropriate areas.

14Fills in Bulk Skid Log for all merchandise being taken to a back-stock location.

15. Maintains the daily receiving log sheet by filling in all pertinent information completely.

16.Rotates all stock in shop supplies when putting away (i.e. chemicals, batteries, sealants, etc.).

Qualifications:

  • This position requires the ability to read and write small letters and numbers; the ability to make arithmetic calculations; and the ability to understand written and oral instructions.
  • This position requires the ability to concentrate and to communicate with management and co-workers.
  • This position requires the ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • This position requires the ability to lift objects weighing Fifty (50) pounds.
  • This position requires the successful completion of a ninety- (90) day orientation period.
  • The ability to drive a standup and sit-down forklift. (Preferred)

Additional Information:

Hours: 6:00am - 6:30pm Saturday, Sunday, and Monday

Pay: $19.89 per hour + Up to $200 per month in bonuses
