Job Description


Summary

The Overnight Manager on Duty will perform daily audit function according to the daily audit checklist and complete tasks in a timely manner at both The Little Nell. Shift hours are 11:00 pm - 7:30 am/ Weekends are required.

Essential Job Functions
  • Act as Front Desk Receptionist, Concierge and PBX Operator during this shift
  • Assist with guest requests and any guest services
  • Run expected arrivals report
  • Check wake up call sheet from PBX and verify all wake up calls have been set on the wake up call clock
  • Continue to record wake up calls throughout evening. Make wake up calls that are for the night shift.
  • Roll all Expected Arrivals and No shows to next day
  • Verify all Retail outlet charges are posted
  • Post overnight parking charges
  • Run Night Audit Daily Processing to roll hotel date
  • Post room and tax
  • Back up computer system, coordinate w/SLC auditor
  • Print and distribute House Reports
  • Submit audit
  • Sort and file daily receipts for all restaurant outlets
  • Be completely familiar with all emergency procedures
  • Act responsibly and in accordance with policies and procedures in the event of an emergency

Additional Job Duties
  • Make Front Desk Manager aware of guest’s comments and complaints
  • Report to work in a neatly groomed and acceptable manner as outlined in the employee handbook
  • Report to shift on time
  • Comply with all policies and procedures for the Front Desk department, The Little Nell, and Aspen Skiing Company
  • Is familiar with hotel fire and safety procedures. Assist in emergency and security procedures as directed by management
  • Complete tasks and projects delegated by your manager and assist other departments as business volumes and staff levels demand
  • Answer incoming internal and external phone calls, as well as additional PBX (phone operator) duties as needed

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Hotel Front Desk Responsibilities
  • Desire to work nights
  • Be a self-starter and be able to work without supervision
  • Excellent customer service experience

Supervision Given and Received

Given: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Received: Works under direct supervision of the Front Desk Manager. Tasks are assigned according to specific procedures, and work is checked frequently. Instruction, advice and assistance are readily available.

Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Ability to stand, walk or be on your feet for extended periods of time. Kneeling and bending may be required
  • Regularly work indoors with no adverse conditions. Some positions require exposure to outdoor elements or a combination of both indoors and outdoors and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces
  • Must be able to occasionally lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance (weight limits can vary according to position, but no more than 50)
