Our plant in Fairfield, California, currently has an opportunity for a Premix Operator (First Shift – 5:30am – 2:00pm Pacific, Mondays – Fridays + Occasional Saturdays, as needed). This location is Abbott’s only manufacturing plant that makes its Zone Perfect and Glucerna nutrition bars, with 180 million bars produced annually. THE OPPORTUNITY:
The Premix Operator (First Shift) is involved in the operations and control of equipment in the area in accordance with the work order and job procedures. The individual operates and performs changeovers on a wide variety of equipment within the batch making area.
Read and follow all batch making instructions per job aids,
Accurately, carefully and safely add and document approved ingredients to process equipment.
Maintains constant flow of production (no downtime)
Responsible for the preparation of ingredients and operation of equipment in the production of nutritional bars.
Responsible for cleaning equipment and performing monthly PM's.
Utilize Inventory Tracking System to document supply/inventory usage.
PAY & SHIFT:
The hourly pay for this position is $24.00/hour USD
This is a First Shift position, that works from 5:30am – 2:00pm Pacific, Mondays – Fridays, plus Occasional Saturdays, as needed
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Prior experience in filling operations preferable but may be waived depending upon additional educational and experience
