Position Description

A Receiving Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory counts and excellent quality standards of materials and products received. They will be responsible for meticulous record keeping and maintaining the area of the warehouse where materials are stored to high standards. It will be essential for the Receiving Clerk to create internal and external working relationships to ensure timely delivery of goods.

Essential Functions

• Scheduling and maintaining delivery appointments with vendors and brokers
• Match purchase orders with invoices and packaging lists.
• Updating inventory as products are received
• Inspect all incoming deliveries to ensure materials received are in excellent condition and meet specifications
• Organization and storage of materials received
• Maintaining accurate and organized records
• Communicate with purchasing and logistics team of delayed orders or deliveries
• Review inventory levels and communicate low stock levels of materials to purchasing team and near expiring ingredients to the scheduler
• Process returned and damaged goods

• High level of attention to detail and commitment to follow through assignments
• Must be a dedicated, hands-on Team-Leader
• Experience in operating forklifts
• Experience with Microsoft office suite; excel, word, outlook, PowerPoint

Work Environment

This job operates in a fast-paced manufacturing facility. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is near moving mechanical parts and in high precarious places and is exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to use hands, walk, sit, stand, crouch, reach with hands and arms or kneel. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30-50 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. First shift hours are currently Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Flexibility is required for this position. Hours are subject to change. Weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Little to no travel is expected for this position.
