Position: Patient Service Representative

Location: Sammamish, WA

Schedule: Monday, Tuesday 7:45am-8:15pm and Thursday, Friday 7:45am-4:15pm

Duration: 3 month contract

Pay Range: $20.00 - $23.00/hr

Responsibilities:

• The Patient Services Representative clinic greets patients/visitors at the desk, verifies insurance benefits, registers patient, schedules patient appointments, answers phones and directs calls. Provides general clerical and administrative support to the departmental staff as needed.
• Performs daily administrative duties including calling patients, handling patient requests, answering phones, pulling and preparing charts, filing, faxing, and copying.
• Follows procedures for scheduling new and established patients, verifies demographic and insurance information, L&I and referrals, prior authorizations, collects payments, explains insurance billing requirements and provides receipts.
• Verifies/completes medical records for daily visits, ensuring necessary forms are completed or in the chart.
• Gathers patient information and prepares patient chart for office visits.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Knowledge of clinical/medical front office procedures
• Communication/public relations skills and flexible
• Relates well with others in a professional and pleasant manner
• Knowledge of medical records confidentiality.
