Western Midstream is a master limited partnership formed to own, develop, acquire, and operate midstream assets. We are engaged in the business of gathering, compressing, treating, processing, and transporting natural gas; gathering, stabilizing, and transporting condensate, natural gas liquids (NGLs), and crude oil; and gathering, transporting, and disposing of produced water for our customers.

We operate or own equity interests in assets in the Rocky Mountains, North-central Pennsylvania, and Texas, including approximately 16,000 miles of petroleum and natural gas pipelines and over 100 gathering, treating, and processing facilities.

Plant Operator – COSF


Job Summary:
This Plant Operator position is based in Hudson, CO and located in Western Midstream’s Rockies Region as a member of the Central Oil Stabilization Facility Operations team.


Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of oil and gas operations including a working knowledge of natural gas and oil handling and processing equipment is required
  • 1 year gas plant or oil handling facility operations experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-focused environment
  • Basic computer skills including Excel, Word, and Outlook required

Responsibilities:

  • Execute startup, shut down and operating procedures for compressors, furnaces, distillation towers, electric motors, fans, pumps, instrumentation, valves and alarms
  • Analyze oil quality using a RVP analyzer and make necessary process adjustments to maintain product specifications
  • Perform minor maintenance of compressors, engines, pumps, controls, piping and valves
  • Generate daily production reports including liquid production, downtime and gas volumes
  • Maintain good communication with supervision, field, plant, and maintenance employees and contractors
  • Work irregular hours, outside, and around heavy equipment, and in variable environmental conditions
  • Monitor, maintain, and operate safety and fire protection systems
  • Perform good housekeeping duties as required
  • Work in a safe manner adhering to all safety practices, procedures and policies
  • Accomplish job responsibilities/duties in accordance with Western Midstream’s Core Values

Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.


Certifications/Licenses:
Valid driver’s license with no restrictions that would prohibit driving a company vehicle is required.


Relocation:
This position is not eligible for relocation.

Candidate must live within 50 miles of Platteville, CO


Travel Requirements:
The percentage of travel required for this position is 0 - 10%.


Work Schedule:
12 hour rotating shift position including weekends and holidays.

The pay range for this position in Colorado is $38.70 - $45.45; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, this position is eligible to participate in the Western Midstream Cash Bonus Program, plus offers a competitive benefits package that emphasizes pay-for-performance compensation, work/life balance, premium health benefits, and a top-tier savings plan.
