We have an immediate opening for Plumbers for governmental buildings in the Denver Metro and Greater Denver areas. These positions offer the initial benefits of weekly and electronic pay and accrued sick leave but can go internal to offer a wide range of benefits to include, but are not limited to: holiday & vacation pay, health/dental/vision insurance, retirement savings, and much more!

Shift: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm Monday - Friday with possible overtime when needed
Pay: $25.61 - $31.61 DOE

SUMMARY:
Responsible for maintenance, care and upkeep of all plumbing related items throughout the facilities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Maintains water lines of septic tanks, disposal systems and lateral lines.
  • Repairing and/or replacements of plumbing fixtures which include water closets, urinals, lavatories, classroom sinks and drinking fountains, sanitary lines, etc.
  • Completes work order and requests as assigned and maintain daily work log. Maintains vehicle in a clean and neat condition at all times. Mandatory participation in (the on call) for department.
  • Maintains a stock of materials in order to repair the emergency situations caused by breaking pipes, etc.
  • General repairs and replacing of piping to food service equipment, grease traps, domestic hot water systems, water coolers, swimming pool pumps, heaters and filters.
  • See that all piping or plumbing and utility systems are repaired and/or replaced.
  • Adjust all plumbing to use the minimum quantity of water.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Five (5) years plumbing experience.
  • Must meet insurability requirements (Clean MVR)
  • Criminal background check required for hire.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS:

All certifications, licenses, and registrations must be valid and unexpired.
  • Valid Colorado drivers license.
  • Journeyman license.
  • Must obtain Certified Cross Connection and Backflow Prevention Device Tester within six (6) months of employment.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Good motor skills - hand tools and machinery used daily.
  • Heavy physical lifting of over fifty (50) lbs.
  • Pushing and pulling.
  • Repetitive motions such as bending.
  • Climbing stairs, ladders and vehicles.
  • Squatting.
  • Overhead work.
  • Various vertical heights.
