OTTO's opportunity:

The responsibilities of our PMO Manager include managing the day-to-day activities in the PMO, providing guidance on PMO policies and processes, overseeing project management staff, coordinating the activities between the engineering disciplines (EE, ME, SW), and collaborating with other department leaders. PMO Manager should also ensure all projects are completed on time and within budget, and the team members uphold the company's standards.

To be successful as a PMO Manager, the candidate should demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills, should be well organized, and be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Must be flexible and adaptable to changes during the development process, with the ability to keep projects moving forward.

Specifically, the PMO Manager will:

  • Manage Project Managers and Project Engineers
  • Plan Projects/Programs including setting the deadlines, prioritizing tasks, and assigning team members to various deliverables
  • Work with the project teams to develop product requirements, budgets, and project schedules that meet or exceed customer expectations
  • Analyzing financial data, including project budgets, risks, and resource allocation
  • Providing financial reports and budget outlines to the management
  • Continuously evaluating projects to ensure they are adhering to budgets and meeting the deadlines
  • Present monthly project reviews to the senior management – schedule, project buffer, costs, issues, etc.
  • Adhere to OTTO's phase-gate process and ensure phase requirements are completed and documented for each phase
  • Assist with other related duties as required or assigned.

What you'll need to bring to the table:

  • A minimum of 10 years of Project Management experience with a proven record of on-time and on-budget delivery
  • Great leadership skills with a minimum of 3 years in a PM supervisory role
  • Expert level knowledge in Waterfall product development process
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and follow-up skills
  • The candidate must have experience with the design and production of physical products
  • Previous hands-on product development experience involving multiple technical disciplines – concept through production
  • BS in Engineering – ME, EE, SW, – preferred
  • Audio experience is preferred
  • Microsoft Project experience (or equivalent)
  • Familiarity with Agile development process
  • Experience in Lean Product Development is a plus
  • Manufacturing experience is a plus
