JOB TITLE: Pool Maintenance Technician

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

HOURS: Full-time (30+hours)

SUMMARY

The maintenance staff position, under limited supervision, performs work of routine difficulty maintenance; performs related work as assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES include the following:

• Maintain pools and spas; including proper chemical treatment vacuuming and filtration systems.
• Pick up debris in and around the facility.
• Provide simple repairs as needed.
• Work in a safe manner and recognize unsafe situations.
• Maintaining and cleaning residential pools. Includes, testing and balancing of chemicals, vacuuming, cleaning of filter, cleaning of skimmer and pump baskets, scrubbing the tiles, skimming the pool and making sure that all equipment is in working order.
• Self-sufficient to perform all daily work activities
• Maintain accurate records of services performed. Must maintain accurate logs of all testing for inspection as required
• Troubleshoot pool components and equipment
• Leave job sites clean and neat
• Completion of assigned work in a timely manner

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to the elements throughout the year. Must be able to work outside in Florida weather all year-round

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; and reach. Able to lift 50 lbs or more.

Local travel is expected for this role.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Relevant building maintenance experience
• CPO preferred/ if not we are willing to train and pay for certification
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Reliable transportation to and from work
• Ability to work independently
