Job Summary

The Pricing Associate position is responsible for enabling profitable growth of the ReedGroup (an Alight Company) business through innovative pricing and implementing best practices across all absence management services. Responsibilities include learning and implementing pricing methodologies of all absence management services, innovative approaches to predictive analytics into pricing algorithms and claims management, expense pricing management, and evaluating pricing & product strategies for absence management markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support sales team to profitably grow business in existing and adjacent channels
  • Provide analytical pricing insights across portfolio of absence products and claims
  • Identify analytics and value-add projects to drive growth and improve scaled economics
  • Partner with Account Management team on tailored client solutions to maximize NPS and drive profitable growth
  • Assist with experience and customer reporting and improve analysis to better understand how the absence management business is operating and trending

Knowledge, Education, Certification, Skills & Technical Proficiencies

A successful candidate will have strong interpersonal and analytical skills, and a demonstrated interest in the absence management and broader health care delivery system. We seek an ambitious candidate with a strong service orientation and a passion for growth and results. The candidate will be an energetic, hands-on self-starter.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business and/or another analytical field.
  • An understanding of pricing process and best practices.
  • Advanced modeling skills using Microsoft Excel.
  • Robust analytical and technical skills, with an ability to work cross-functionally on value-add projects.
  • Communicate recommendations for analytical insights and implications for current and future strategic decisions.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to deliver pricing insights to stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with multiple deliverables simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail as this position requires robust analysis of large datasets.
  • Adapts to changing business priorities and environments.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Demonstrated ability to execute independently with limited supervision.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Data analytics certification and/or have completed 1-2 actuarial exams. (If you are on an actuarial career path, we will consider actuarial exam support.)
  • Knowledge of self-funded and/or fully insured ancillary benefits.
  • Tableau, Microsoft BI, or other data visualization tools.
  • Strong VBA skills

Work Experience

  • 3+ years of pricing or actuarial experience.
  • 2+ years of experience encompassing data analysis.
  • Or equivalent combination of education/experience,

Work Environment

Location & Work Requirements:

  • Virtual position, with minimal travel expected.
  • Daily contact with internal stakeholders whether directly aligned to project work or for developing the cross-functional relationship.
  • Occasional evening and weekend work to meet deadlines.

Pay Transparency Statement: Alight takes into consideration a candidate’s experience, education, certification/credentials, market data, internal equity, and geography when determining an offer for a successful employment candidate, and Alight does so on an individualized, non-discriminatory basis. Therefore, an offer may fall anywhere between the estimated minimum base salary for this role of $100,200.00/year (for full time employees) and the estimated maximum base salary for this role of $157,400.00/year (for full time employees). In addition to a base salary, this position may be eligible for a bonus and/or other incentive plans.
