Job description
In this role, you will be responsible for end to end development of a Metadata Intelligence Portal, Data Visualizations and Dashboards by utilizing out of the box technologies such as Qlik, Tableau, and bespoke solutions through strong partnership with Engineering and Architecture teams. This role will also assume ad-hoc reporting and design responsibilities for Metadata Intelligence.

You will be working in a high performing team of Product Owners and Software Engineers providing cutting edge, cloud native, business-critical projects at the forefront of technology solutions, and playing a crucial role in identifying, improving, and developing technology solutions that influence our strategic goals. You will be working with a larger global team to help design, architect, develop and re-engineer applications to fully leverage architecture blueprints and security standards. You will be actively participating in collaborative sessions with business and technology stakeholders to deliver products that go beyond customer expectations

The Data Management product line is delivered via Advanced Data Ecosystem, a comprehensive data management solution that facilitates in making data discoverable, understandable, observable, trustworthy, accessible and interoperable for authorized personas to influence Business Intelligence and AI/ML initiatives with agility and velocity. It includes center of excellences for multiple product lines, such as Data Lake, Data Migrations Services, Unified Data Catalog and Controls, JADE Foundational Services, and Data Analytics & Business Intelligence services, to influence digital transformation, cloud adoption and AI/ML capabilities throughout the firm.

Job Responsibilities
  • Support and manage Business-LOB focused reporting and dashboards on the portal. Support the set up and production of dashboards measuring Key Performance indicators (KPIs), Operational key Results (OKRs) using advanced Business intelligence capabilities.
  • Design and develop Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) workflows and datasets in Alteryx, AWS Athena, Snowflake and Databricks to be used by the Business Intelligence Reporting tool, including preparation of technical specifications and documentation.
  • Encourage innovation with stakeholders during agile development sessions to create and improve dashboards leveraging newly on-boarded data sources; Identify unexplored data opportunities for the business to unlock and maximize the potential of workforce data within the organization
  • Query data and merge information from diverse data sources to create rich datasets that enable better decision-making. You will be responsible in analyzing data using tools such as Tableau, QlikView, Snowflake, Databricks, SQL and Python to develop and automate reports or analysis that lead to actionable business insights
  • Work with other teams and multi-task on projects to summarize and synthesize data and present recommendations to the businesses in a clear and logical manner
  • Support on-going development of Cloud Metadata Analytics platform by partnering with business to identify needs, define new data sets, technical testing and launch support including training of new users
  • Keep abreast of technology trends and provide recommendations for testing new and emerging technology, as well as, support ongoing technology evaluation process and proof of concept projects

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • 8+ years of industry experience and 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Business Systems Analyst, System Analyst, or Technical Analyst, with heavy emphasis on technology and implementation understanding.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience developing data visualization and presentations with strong Tableau experience (additional experience in Qlik is a plus)
  • Experience in projects primarily related to Data Management technologies, Big Data Platforms and Business Intelligence/Analytics
  • Build and manage product, feature and capabilities roadmap
  • Proficiency in Business Applications, Data Usage, User Experience, and Product Management; Experience in reporting development and testing, and ability to interpret unstructured data and draw objective inferences given known limitations of the data
  • Ability to liaison between lines of business and the engineering teams, while working with a wide range of stakeholders and collaborating with your team
  • Hands-on skills and experience in Alteryx Designer, Alteryx Server, and the tools with Alteryx

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • Experience with visualization design tools such as Figma, InVision
  • Experience with business intelligence dashboard and reporting tools such as Qlik
  • Experience with relational databases utilizing SQL or Python to pull and summarize large datasets, report creation and ad-hoc analyses
  • Experience working with private or public cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
