Now hiring for Production Associates to join our team performing sewing machine and non-sewing machine operations as we convert specialty cut fabric into high quality turnout gear. The hours are 6:00 AM - 3:30 PM Monday through Thursday and 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM on Friday and OT every other Saturday from 6:00 AM - 11:00AM.

Candidates who have experience with: stitching/sewing, machine operation, inspection, measurement skills, crafting and hand assembly skills are encouraged to apply.


Responsibilities:

Production Associates are needed for the following areas:


  • Stitching (Sewing Operators)
Utilize a variety of industrial single needle, double needle and programmable machines to stitch one of over 100 operations needed to complete the turnout gear shell or liner. Every operator is responsible for the quality of their work and is expected to support their departmental team by learning at least two additional operations.
  • Machine Operator roles (Snapping, Seam Seal, Automated Stitching, Trim).
  • Material preparation, Labelling, Inspection, Matching and Final packaging.
Salary range $16-17/hr, depending upon experience
Entry level - no experience starts at $16/hr
Qualifications:
  • Special knowledge, skills and abilities:

    • Able to speak, read and write English
    • Have basic knowledge of computers or tablets
    • Sewing Operators must be able to sit for full shift
    • Non-Sewing Operators must be able to stand/walk for full shift
    • Able to assist in team lifting of approximately 30 pounds
    • Strong organization skills and high attention to detail
    • Previous experience in Quality Control and Inspection desirable
