POSITION SUMMARY

The role of the Tool Crib Associate involves overseeing the inventory of the Tool Crib Warehouse.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Receive, store and distribute materials, oils and chemicals, and equipment.

  • Organize and position incoming supplies or items on racks, shelves, or in bins.

  • Record and inspect returned tools for damage when tools and equipment are issued.

  • Perform periodic and inventory counts to guarantee accuracy.

  • Input and check purchase requisitions in ERP system (Odyssey).

  • Generate new code for all new purchased items (inventory or non-inventory).

  • Create purchase orders in ERP software (Odyssey) and submit for approval.

  • Collaborate with managers to ensure that inventory levels are correct and help with acquiring new tools.

  • Deliver oils and chemicals, packages, and production materials.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Climate controlled tool crib, occasional exposure to production area (high heat, fumes, noise), risk of cuts and burns.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Physical exertion required with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and sometimes bend and move about the facility.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required.

  • Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment.

  • Ability to read, write and communicate in comprehensive English.

  • Basic mathematical skills such as, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

  • Must be able to obtain MKC forklift certification

  • Able to use and understand, micrometers, electronic indicators, dial calipers and other precision gauges.

  • Previous MRO experience a plus.
