Job Summary
TMA is seeking to add an organized, energetic individual to join our patient recruitment team. Ideal candidates will be detail-oriented and work well in a team environment. Prior experience in customer service, clinical research, medical training or other experience in the medical field will be a plus.
A large part of this job will involve direct communication with potential clinical research patients through regular patient calls. The goal of these communications is to ensure TMA is recruiting eligible trial participants through IRB approved phone screening scripts, follow up on patient referrals, scheduling patient visits, and direct mailings and marketing. Candidates will also be key in helping maintain prospect records and statements.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Direct communication with clinical research patients regarding their participation in clinical trials
- Conduct electronic chart review, community outreach, physician outreach, and overall study awareness in the community
- Attending client teleconferences, study protocol trainings
- Conducting weekly recruitment meetings with the research team
- Update patient records
- Occasional Travel to Clinical Research Sites
- Data Entry
- Update and maintain project management system
Desired Skills and Experience
- Experience in marketing, clinical research or patient recruitment, in a process-driven, revenue-dependent environment will be a plus
- Demonstrable leadership and problem-solving abilities
- Keen customer service instincts
- Comfortable in a results-driven, revenue-focused atmosphere that rewards individuals based on merit
- Knowledge base of clinical research, methodology, protocol and study design, and IRB approval process
- Knowledge of online and traditional forms of advertising
- A history of attention to detail, self-motivation and strong computer skills (MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
- Ability to work individually or within a team in whatever capacity may be required to ensure timely delivery of timeline assignments and/or resolution to current issues
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multi-faceted projects
- Ability to adapt to changing protocol requirements
- Candidates with medical terminology a plus
