The position is Full-Time plus Weekends:

JARC provides group homes, apartments and vocational training for adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities. This position provides overnight supervision and care for residents located in JARC's group home program. Responsibilities include: provide training and assistance to group home residents in areas including person hygiene, meal preparation, household chores, cleaning, money management and appropriate social behaviors. Complete and file appropriate documentation including progress notes and incident reports, communicate with team members regarding clients' issues, provide light housekeeping, drive JARC vehicle for residents' activities and other household purposes as necessary. Assist residents' in entering and exiting the van. Provide healthy meals for residents, participate in training activities. Dispense medications to residents as necessary and properly store in locked and secure place, maintain JARC Kashrut policy and support Judaic programming in group home, assure that group home is properly staffed prior to leaving the site, must complete all required JARC training and certifications in a timely manner and be able to attend day time training sessions as necessary and/or required.

Qualifications: Valid FL Driver's License and good driving record required. One year experience in direct care.

Ability to communicate and speak effectively with individuals, families and other employees. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, kneel or stoop; to lift and/or move up to 10-15 pounds, and if necessary in an emergency situation move or drag an adult in order to ensure the individual's safety. Minimum Home Health Aide certification required.

Potential Shifts: Week Days including Saturday & Sunday 7am- 7pm or 7pm-7am
