Residential Manager

Position Overview: The incumbent in this position is responsible for carrying out the duties and responsibilities of the daily operations and management of a group home. The Residential Manager will be assigned one primary location and will assist with all DS Residential homes on an on-call basis. The Residential Manager will provide staff supervision and leadership in Quality Improvement efforts and is directly supervised by the DS Director. The Residential Manager will ensure compliance with all standards and regulations of Licensure, Medicaid, HIPAA, HUD, RACS Policies and Procedures, Residential Support Services policies and procedures; and will create, oversee and monitor the treatment plans, and programs and activities of the group homes. The incumbent is responsible for the overall medical and financial care of the residents within the group homes.
The position requires the incumbent to be able to function independently with normal supervision; exercise sound judgment; possess excellent skills in conflict resolution, problem solving and motivational techniques. The incumbent must observe professional standards of confidentiality.
The incumbent will serve as on-call Manager for each of the homes on a rotating basis as required. Scheduled on-call begin at 4 pm Monday and end at 8:00 am Friday then resume at 4 pm on Friday and end at 8:00 am on Monday. The Manager assigned on-call duties for agency holidays is to be contacted the entire holiday period and during non-holiday agency closures. On-call duties may be required during normal working hours as the programs needs constitute.
Qualifications: An Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in the human services field is preferred along with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in human services; however, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities may be substituted for the educational requirement meeting QIDP qualifications under the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services; extensive supervisory experience is preferred.
