The Role

The Sales Planner will support the Sales Team in managing the processes around launching and executing sales initiatives to sell Zevia in the marketplace. A successful candidate will need to develop a strong fundamental understanding of the Zevia product line, Zevia sales process, and also a strong understanding of the customer base we service. Key responsibilities would include supporting Key Account Managers to plan, maintain, and prepare promotional entries and new products. This role works closely with the Field Marketing, Retail Marketing, and Trade Teams to ensure cross-functional alignment. The ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years prior experience with promotion management and administration, Demand-Tec, preferably with a food broker or retailer, and show a high level of attention to detail and exceptional organization skills.

  • Working with Key Account Managers (KAMs), create and update promotional plans for all retailers.
  • Maintain and update contract tracking system for all existing events.
  • Assist in reconciliation of promotional billing and accounts receivable.
  • Provide reporting on all aspects of retail promotions to include, distribution tracking, pricing, new items, and others as requested.
  • Support KAMs in preparing for retailer meetings, sales presentations, and internal business reviews.
  • Maintain retailer promotions and portal contact list, login details, and procedures for all retailers.
  • Participate in training and ongoing development opportunities to become the Subject Matter Expert for all promotional planning, and primary point of contact for all retail promotional administration.
  • Prepare and publish post-promotion analysis in alignment with trade team.
  • Recommend and assist in the implementation of various new technology/platforms to generate customer contracts.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Some College or University Experience, preferred
  • Must have 3-5 years prior experience with promotion management and data entry, preferably with a food broker, retailer or Post-Secondary Education graduate.
  • Ideal candidate is proficient in both the English and French language
  • Demonstrated experience in data analysis and interpreting data sets
  • Must possess excellent organizational skills and have a proven track record of meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and align priorities to achieve objectives of the role.
  • Must demonstrate good problem-solving ability and initiative in finding workable solutions to complex problems affecting multiple users of shared data.
  • Good communication skills and willingness to work frequently with team on the phone or in web-conferences to ensure understanding and alliance on initiatives.
  • Must have general office skills to include bookkeeping, written and oral communication skills.
  • Must possess computer knowledge skills with Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Must possess a basic understanding of CRM systems and databases. NetSuite and Demand-Tec experience is preferred.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
