Summary of Position:

Devoted Education Solutions LLC (DES) is seeking a highly motivated and passionate part-time licensed Speech and Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to work at a K-5 Charter School in Pacoima, CA. The SLPA shall understand the importance of a student’s interaction in the educational environment, and access to activities for full participation in the educational program.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Under the direct supervision of the Licensed SLP, the SLPA will provide direct treatment individually by implementing documented treatment plans as specified in the student’s IEP
• In compliance with state and local requirements, the SLPA will be responsible for maintaining appropriate documentation regarding student services and subsequent needs
• Consult and collaborate with parents, teachers, and administration in an effort to support student outcomes and meet Special Education laws and policies
• Assist in the development and monitoring of IEPs for assigned students
• Foster and manage a safe, positive learning environment for the purpose of promoting effective student behavior and success
• Fulfill other related duties as assigned by the supervisor

Minimum Requirements:

• Completed Bachelor’s Degree program in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders or Associates of Arts or Science Degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program
• Active California SLPA license.
• DOJ Background Check
• TB test results required
