POSITION SUMMARY:

We are looking to fill a Maintenance /Security position with an individual that will be responsible for maintenance duties within the Little River Trading Post store, including exterior areas, parking lots, trash bins, etc. Approximately 70% of this role will be for the maintenance role and 30% will be serving in a Security role. The Security job functions include ensuring the safety of the employees, customers, structural building, and all facilities within the LRTP property, including exterior boundaries.

MAINTENANCE/CLEANING RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.

· Gather and empty all trash.

· Cleans, sanitizes and services restrooms.

· Clean furniture and fixtures.

· Clean windows, glass partitions and mirrors.

· Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.

· Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies when needed.

· Mow and trim lawns and shrubbery using mowers and hand/power trimmers and clear debris from LRTP grounds.

· Notify LRTP Manager(s) concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.

· Remove snow from driveway and parking areas and spread snow melting salt.

· Notify LRTP Managers of any supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.

· Setting up and taking down for events or trainings.

· Provide maintenance on minor repairs.

· Clean and organize storage areas and cabinets.

· Clean and disinfect LRTP appliances.

· Other maintenance/cleaning duties as assigned.

SECURITY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Monitor building security and safety during shift hours and safety by walking around and notifying legal authorities when certain situations apply.

· Monitor the security and safety of LRTP employees. This includes ensuring employees enter and leave the store safely upon arriving to work, during shift hours, and upon leaving work after shift has ended.

· Consistently review the LRTP Security footage to look for strange or non-regular occurring incidents with customers and/or employees.

· Submit LRTP Incident Reports for any security or safety issues that are addressed at the Store. This includes dealing with missing/stolen products; intoxicated persons; irate/irrational customers; and any minor security situations that may require assistance from law enforcement.

· The incumbent will know and understand the legal reporting processes, including how to support any legal investigations, sharing security taped footage, preparing the necessary reports and any follow-up that’s needed.

· Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created.

· May be required to take a Security Guard exam

· Other duties as assigned

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

· The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

· The employee must be able to lift and/or move items over 50lbs.

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.

· The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

· The individual must meet fitness requirements.

POSITION TYPE / HOURS OF WORK:

· This is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt position.

· Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. However, the positions require the ability to work during nonstandard hours when the need arises.

QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS):

· High School Diploma or GED required.

· A valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.

· At least six months of custodial/cleaning experience.

· At least one year of security guard or related experience.
