Primary Responsibilities:

• 
  Function as an accountant subject matter expert (SME) on selected UHC claim platforms
• 
  Perform SOX controls, cash clearing account reconciliations and detailed data analysis on the claim platforms supported as a SME
• 
  Support the interim and end of year claim audit process
• 
  Support the implementation of new business by providing input on requirements and testing
• 
  Reconcile, analyze and review general ledger accounts in preparation for month end close
• 
  Develop innovative approaches for continued improvement in efficiency and effectiveness
• 
  Produce ad hoc reports for internal customers

Required Qualifications:

• 
  Bachelor’s degree with coursework in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience
• 
  1+ years of professional work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• 
  Experience or coursework with SAS, SQL, VBA programming languages
• 
  Experience within a complex working environment with various hierarchical commitments
• 
  Exposure to PeopleSoft or Essbase/Smartview
• 
  Anticipates customer needs and proactively develops solutions to meet them
• 
  High ethical standards
• 
  Intermediate level experience in Microsoft Excel
• 
  Excellent analytical skills and demonstrated ability to enhance processeses

Colorado, Connecticut, New York or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $54,400 to $97,000. The salary range for Connecticut / New York / Nevada residents is $60,000 to $106,700.
