Fins up! Margaritaville Beach Resort is seeking a Senior Catering Sales Manager. The Senior Catering Sales Manager is responsible for growing overall revenue and profitability, while maximizing customer satisfaction from pre-event planning through post-event phases of service. The role also has a small Leader of Other component and will manage a Catering Sales Manager and Event Coordinator.

QUALIFICATIONS

• A minimum of five years experience in a Catering Sales Manager position, ideally in a Full-Service Resort setting, selling & servicing the Corporate and Social Segments
• A minimum of two years experience leading direct reports
• Superior organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills written, verbal, virtually and in person
• Senior level competency in Amadeus Sales & Catering (Delphi) or similar system
• Senior level competency in navigating Wedding Pro (Wedding Wire & The Knot)

CORE WORK ACTIVITES

• Respond to a high volume of incoming catering opportunities including e-mails, walk-ins, phone calls and website inquiries.
• Solicit new and repeat business through a proactive sales approach that incorporates consultative selling skills.
• Booking, selling, planning and coordinating events while assuring the highest level of customer service.
• Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings.
• Execute contracts and BEOs, prepare invoices for daily events and ensure timeliness of final payments and deposits.
• Utilize Delphi.fdc and other proprietary platforms to their fullest extent as directed by Resort leadership.
• Understand the overall Catering market, competitors strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand, and how to sell against them.
• Serve the customer by understanding their needs and recommending the appropriate features and services that best meet their needs and exceed their expectations.
• Works directly with clients and event planners gathering necessary information for menu planning, floor plans, room set-up, timeliness, rental orders, decor, cost, and billing details and any other requirements pertinent to their event in a timely manner and assist with those items as necessary.
• Interacts effectively with all departments within the hotel to ensure guest satisfaction and a positive work environment.
• Assists with maintaining social media sites including but not limited to the hotel website, Facebook, Wedding wire and The Knot.

POSITION DETAILS

• Due to the operating nature of the Resort this role will work Monday Friday until the Resort opens (fall 2023) and then shift to a Tuesday Saturday schedule to accommodate work flow needs.
• At times a flexible work schedule will be required to accommodate events at the Resort.
