Corbion is seeking a strategic Senior Product Manager (PM) with experience linking the market to manufacturing and translating market needs into the language of scientists, sales, and operations. We are seeking a skilled Product Manager, Functional Systems to contribute to the realization of business targets. Functional Systems is a key strategic pillar for our global strategy, encompassing blends of ingredients (enzymes, hydrocolloids) designed to deliver maximum functionality in markets such as bakery, dairy and confectionery.

This positions assures the functional systems product portfolio design supports the company's overall strategy. As the functional systems product champion and expert for the portfolio, this position will contribute to the development and implementation of functional system solutions across multiple market segments. The PM is responsible for the product planning and execution throughout assigned products lifecycle (includes prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining individual product vision, and working closely with R&D, business development, sales, marketing, regulatory, IP, and operations, S&OP) and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.

This role is based at our North American (NAM) Headquarters in Lenexa, Kansas and will report directly to the Global Business Director, Functional Systems.

Responsibilities:

• Implement the strategic and business plans, (which includes market share position and profitability strategy, globally and regionally) cross-functionally to ensure the annual sales budget is met or exceeded.
• Manage pricing and pricing strategy per product group/customer segment, and working capital guidelines consistent with profit and market share goals.
• Review and approve new product requests with input from Sales Management, Applications and Business Development
• Analyze product portfolio for revenue, margin, mix, complaints, growth, hold, divest (BCG matrix analysis) as well as analyze product line life cycle.
• Review and drive innovation project portfolio and implement new products in line with the business strategy by working closely with a cross-functional team.
• Partner with Marketing and Business Developers to prepare market introduction, promotion, and product launch.
• Identify new sales opportunities for the business and provide sales programs by working closely with Strategic Intelligence, Business Developers, Sales, Marketing, R&D and Procurement.
• Support regulatory registrations and compliance in target countries with RA support
• Represent the portfolio to key customers, industry meetings, fairs, and events.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Food, Biology, Chemistry, Biotech or related field. Preferably Master’s degree in food or business.
• 5+ years of work experience in multiple roles (technical sales, procurement, pricing, R&D) and a minimum of 2 years' experience in customer facing roles in a regional or international context.

• Mastery in data analysis, both quantitative and qualitative.
• Exceptional communication skills to lead cross functional teams and manage key internal stakeholders.
• Proven success navigating the complexity of a matrix organization.
• Hands-on, a self-starter with entrepreneurial spirit and a team player.
• Travel will average ~20%.
