Job description
The Senior Security Specialist will assist the Security Manager in executing the corporate security requirements and standards within their area of responsibility. They will assist with site security assessments, improvement plans, investigations, incident response, supervise guard force operations, and supervise vendor performance. They will help enable the business while meeting strict company, customer, and regulatory standards.
About the Role
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
- Customization and development of internal security instruction, including training.
- Assistance during internal and external audits (TAPA, GSA, Customs, RA etc.)
- Identify, develop, implement, and maintain security practices and processes in accordance with regulations and policies.
- Conduct and document security site assessments at company sites and recommend security enhancements.
- Manage the access control system (new cards, mis-use, system review.)
- Support new launches and implementation of security requirements.
- Support the use, maintenance, repairs, and upgrades to electronic security systems.
- Develop internal and external network to influence and drive Security initiatives, law enforcement liaison.
Requirements
- Experience with TAPA security requirements and audits
- Knowledge of electronic security management systems
- Proactive (identify issues and act upon)
- Demonstrated ability to handle physical security related incidents and remain calm in times of crisis.
- Experience interpreting and applying procedures, policies, and guidance for various security protocols and actions
- Solid verbal and written communication skills.
- No criminal records and high level of personal integrity
