What you do:
The
Shipping Supervisor will manage all dock operations and direct Material Handlers to meet all
shipping, receiving and production requirements. The
Shipping Supervisor will follow and
enforce all GMP’s, Food Standards, Company Rules and Standard Operating Procedures.
The
Shipping Supervisor will
:
- follow and enforce all elements of Food Safety requirements. They will also ensure that the Material Handler is following all the required standards.
- must obtain & maintain a current operator's license that is current with MIOSHA.
- must be able to train the Material Handler/Forklift Operators as needed.
- be responsible for ensuring that all Material Handlers are properly inspecting trailers prior to loading and unloading as well as documentation of those inspections.
- review the Material Handlers paperwork to ensure that raw ingredients, WIP, and packaging materials match the item number specified on the bill of lading.
- be responsible for setting up all product movement within the facility. This includes the loading and unloading of trailers and monitoring material requirements to have items available to support the production schedule. All material movement, purchase order receipts, sales orders and transfers also will be the responsibility of the Shipping Supervisor.
- be responsible for ensuring that Material Handlers are filling out the Daily checklists on the Forklifts, proper documentation is being done and the equipment is safe for use, and more.
What you need:
- High school diploma and or equivalent experience.
- Five years of prior forklift experience.
- The ability to lift up-to 50 lbs. consistently.
- Must be able to identify, process and record materials to the standards of the Shipping & Receiving Manager.
- Shipping Supervisor must have knowledge of AX system, Yard view system, outlook, and be able to act as Coordinator if needed.
