Co-Occuring Specialist, PACT Team - Red Bank, NJ

Responsibilities

The Co-Occurring Specialist's responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Completes substance abuse assessments and/or assist other clinical staff in completing assessments in a timely and comprehensive manner as required by CPC and regulatory agency policies. Assessments are age appropriate and culturally sensitive and address the needs as outlined in the agency assessment tools.
• Provides Co-occurring education, community living skill training and supportive counseling in the home and other natural environments to consumers and their families.
• Provides individual and group interventions to consumers with co-occurring challenges.
• Participates in referrals, linkages, and coordination of care for various substance use treatments including MAT, detox/rehab services, IOP, and sober living environments.
• Assesses for crisis intervention services with acute psychiatric needs to consumers who require rapid intervention.
• Participates as a member of the treatment team, sharing caseload and team responsibilities with the various other members/disciplines to meet the needs of consumers.

Requirements

Must have Bachelor's degree in counseling, psychology, social work or related field and two years of post degree experience in mental health working with individuals with co-occurring disorders or substance abuse. Must have a CADC or LCADC. Valid NJ driver's license with clean record required, as position is community-based and requires driving.

Salary: $48,000 to $58,000 based on experience, education and licensure
