Position Description
DIVISION OF CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICES is recruiting for a Social Worker 1 underfilling a Social Worker 3 position for the Adoption Unit in Carson City. This is a full-time position and a Nevada Social Work license is a requirement for employment. A social worker for the Adoption unit will be responsible to deliver strength-based family-centered case management permanency services to families, with a goal of adoption, that promote the safety and well-being and permanency of children; to include implementing plans of care; including home visits, monitoring service, court report preparation and record keeping. Ensure children have their medical, mental health and educational needs met.

Minimum Qualifications
Licensure or provisional licensure as a Social Worker, Clinical Social Worker, Independent Social Worker, or Associate in Social Work.

Special Requirements
- Licensure or provisional licensure by the State of Nevada Board of Examiners for Social Workers as a Social Worker, Clinical Social Worker, Independent Social Worker, or Associate in Social Work is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of employment.
- A valid driver's license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
