JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Title: Store Leader

Reports to: District Leader

Our purpose is to give our customers "the gift of time," by assisting them in a fast, friendly, and courteous manner while visiting our stores.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities

Operational Management
Manage to achieve or exceed standards in a clean and innovative environment, and areas of customer satisfaction, quality and freshly prepared foods

  • Handles customer complaints in a courteous and professional manner
  • Ensures all sales transactions are accurately recorded and all cash handling procedures are followed
  • Ensures all shift change and cash report duties have been completed accurately per established guidelines
  • Ensures that proper cleaning procedures and materials are used to maintain a clean, organized and sanitary food service operation
  • Ensures proper operation and maintenance of store equipment
  • Monitors and ensures food service items are displayed in an appealing manner offering the freshest product available for the customer
  • Ensures all products are cooked and held per H.A.C.C.P guidelines
  • Monitors and ensures that store staff keeps shelves and the vault product stocked, rotated and “blocked” to achieve freshness and quality standards and easy customer access
  • Maintains any required food handlers’ certification / license as required and ensures store staff has been certified / licensed as well
  • Ensures all items in the store are priced properly
  • Follows prescribed gasoline strategy and ensure store is in gasoline compliance (per DOE requirements)
  • Monitors gasoline competition
  • Maintains a safe working and shopping environment at all times through enforcement of safety and security procedures
  • Ordering store merchandise
  • Professional relationship with Vendors and outside companies
  • Enforces rules, procedures and policies
  • Executes the company mission, corporate strategy, goals and objectives
  • Performs other duties as assigned by District Leader

Human Resource Management
Manage to achieve or exceed standards in area of employee growth and retention

  • Ensures full compliance with all government regulations to include: DOL, INS, OSHA,

Health Department, and EEOC regulations pertaining to store operations

  • Ensures that store is adequately staffed through effectively hiring and scheduling qualified dependable personnel
  • Counsels employees on job related matters
  • Performs personnel activities related to performance including weekly employee profiles and required evaluations
  • Communicates on a timely basis the information necessary to maintain standard operations, procedures and policies, government inspections, and other “need to know” information to subordinates and superiors
  • Ensures all employees are trained using the prescribed materials, tools, and processes

Administrative / Financial Management
Manage to achieve or exceed standards in area of Accounting, Controls, and Budgeted profit requirements

  • Achieve or exceed the financial goals within the store’s operating budget
  • Completes all daily close out procedures
  • Records and analyzes all accounting information on the Daily Sales Recap
  • Performs price book / invoice entry functions daily
  • Maintains accuracy of the perpetual store inventory utilizing the S.A.R.U. report
  • Conduct and maintain business with Vendors following vendor procedures and policies
  • Enthusiastically supports marketing activities to employees and ensures proper staffing and execution of marketing directives
  • Performs daily banking procedures

Physical Requirements

  • This position requires constant standing, bending and reaching with a moderate amount of manual dexterity. Frequent lifting of 1 –5 pounds and occasionally lifting of up to 50 pounds are required
  • Ability to perform tasks in all areas of the store which may include exposure to the cold while working in the cooler / freezer and while maintaining the parking lot and exterior areas of the stores perimeter

Qualifications

  • Must be available to work holidays, nights, and weekends as required by the company.
  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Must have 2 years Restaurant management /Food Service supervisory experience or the equivalent of 1 year in-store experience (Royal Farms).
  • Must complete the Store Leader in Training Program

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
