THE ROLE Project Manager - Commercial - Security Systems - CCTV & Access Control, USA:

As a key member of the Operations Team, the Project Manager (Commercial) will report to the Sr. Operations Manager with a dotted line to the Sr. Finance Manager. In this position, she/he will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the Surveillance International Commercial System implementation (CCTV, Access Control, Electrical, Burglar Alarms, and Network Infrastructure) across the US. The Project Manager will also play an important role in representing the organization as an industry expert, and support the Sales Department with new project quoting and after sales implementation. The Project Manager supervises, directs and motivates the project team during planning, estimating, design, installation, start-up, commissioning, turnover and warranty of assigned projects. This position will ensure customer satisfaction throughout all project phases until completion.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategy and Planning:

· Perform walk-throughs, meet with customers, and take detailed thorough notes

· Analyze plans, construction contract specifications, and contracts to determine project requirements

· Define, update, and implement operations implementation objectives that are aligned with Surveillance International's strategy

· Source new contractors (electrical, cctv, access control, and infrastructure) across the US as required

· Identify important and recommend solutions to mitigate risks

· Partner with other team members to understand performance drivers and define appropriate reports and controls to be used in the business

· Capital planning and investments, manage and report on operating budgets to ensure ROI

· Establish strategic partnerships to secure supply chains as may be needed

· Manages the development of project plans in advance of project activity ensuring effective execution

Project Management, Control, Business Processes:

· Develop and maintain project plans and timelines, track progress, and communicate status updates to clients and team members

· File for licenses and/or permit applications in local jurisdictions and manage associated relationships

· Manage internal stakeholder expectations and ensure customer satisfaction

· Lead project meetings and team stand-ups, and ensure team members comply with project standards

· Oversee day-to-day full-installation of systems - coordinate and supervise subcontractors

· Resolve conflicts and remove impediments to project progress

· Prepare timely installation summaries, gantt charts, in accordance with industry's best standards

· Responsible for accuracy and productivity of day-to-day activities of installers and contractors, cash disbursements, invoicing/billing, and inventory of assets

· Accountable for inventory records including counts and reconciliations

· Utilize financial and monthly forecasting to manage and contain costs and work with other team members to monitor, manage and control costs

· Work with internal and external business partners to manage departmental spend in line with budgets

· Responsible for annual audits, if needed, and providing information to internal or external auditors

· Ensure compliance with all government permits, regulatory provisions, and legal requirements

· Improve and maintain internal controls for accurate financial and operational reporting for Compliance

· Establish efficient and documented work-flow processes and installation policies and procedures

· Ensure all historical operational and finance records & documentation are maintained in an orderly, accurate and timely fashion and develop processes as may be needed to support the automation of such information

· Develop controls for the maintenance of implemented systems and other critical applications as needed

· Protect assets by establishing, monitoring and enforcing internal controls

· Develop and manage relationships with contractors, vendors, regulators, consultations as needed

· Prepare or oversee progress billings, pursues timely payments from the customer and authorize payments to material suppliers and subcontractors

· Other ad hoc duties as required
Technology, Software, Documentation

· Document all details that pertain to each job in Surveillance International CRM

· Help implement software/hardware required to meet Surveillance International internal and external accounting needs

· Participates in job site final walk thru and manages the completion of all close-out documentation

ABOUT YOU:

· University Degree in related field, and/or PMP Certification (preferred)

· Hands on, strong knowledge/experience installing CCTV, Access Control and inventory management oversight

· Manufacturer Experience preferred: Exacqvision, Brivo, Alarm.com, Samsung/Hanwha/Wisenet, Honeywell, and other similar brands.

· Must have aptitude to understand and interpret contracts, drawings, and project specifications

· Must have an understanding of job financial reports and the ability to apply these in managing assigned projects

· Must have the ability to resolve the scope of work and contractual issues and change orders on assigned projects

· Min. 5 years of experience in industry

· Individual must possess a valid Driver's license in good standing

· Must have project management usage software experience (preferred)

· Have entrepreneurial spirit and worked in fast paced environments

· Experience delivering presentations to senior executives

· Willing to travel frequently for several days at a time across the US, on short notice
