Job Summary
The key duties of this position is to function as a team member and perform clerical related duties for the department. Acts as a receptionist adhering to hospital policies and procedures. Maintains confidentiality of information regarding patients, personnel, and hospital business. This position requires great communication skills, being well organized, and efficient. As a valued member of the health care team, this individual must effectively communicate with all personnel throughout the organization as well as patients and visitors. This position must be able to demonstrate flexibility by adjusting to changes in the volume of patients in the department, as well as assuming patient care duties as needed and assigned. As the role will require attention to patient care, competency will need to be demonstrated that aligns with the department. Taking vital signs, assisting patients with personal hygiene, ambulating patients, performing EKGs, transporting material/specimens, and documentation are examples of duties that may be assigned.
Minimum Education/License/Certification Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Nursing students preferred but not required. Nursing Assistant and/or receptionist experience in another health care facility preferred.
- Must obtain CPR certification
