The Delivery Driver Class A and Vendor Management Inventory Technician delivers and services key vending account customers and customer cabinets / storerooms relative to inventory of consumables and safety products. This position focuses on servicing specific accounts. This position is also responsible for safely and efficiently loading, unloading, delivering, and returning compressed gas cylinders while frequently interacting with Airgas customers.
  • Safely loads, delivers and unloads cylinders containing compressed gases to customer locations.
  • Records deliveries and pick-ups on a load manifest and obtains signatures from customers for receipt purposes.
  • Ensures that vehicle manifests, vehicle placards, cylinder labeling and load nesting and strapping at all times comply with Airgas safety standards and all government regulations
  • Performs pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections documenting deficiencies; ensures all safety items are in good working order.
  • Delivery and replenishment to customers of various industrial products and vending machine or storeroom items.
  • Provides customer service through inventory management, order entry, and answering questions as needed.
  • Reviews manual stock levels of various inventories at multiple plant departments for reorder
  • Maintains dedicated branch inventory levels for proper replenishment.
  • Strictly observes all safety rules and promptly reports any accidents or injuries to management.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Are you a MATCH?
  • Must be 21 years old
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
  • Valid USDOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate (card).
  • Hazmat Endorsement (H or X Endorsement). May consider individuals with the ability to acquire a Hazmat Endorsement.
  • Ability to operate a vehicle with an air brake system (no air brake restrictions on CDL).
  • Must have one (1) year of prior Class A professional driving experience within the last five (5 years
  • Must have a clean driving record to include no more than two (2) convictions; OR two (2) at-fault accidents in the last 3 years; OR no more than a combination of one (1) conviction and one (1) at-fault accidents in the last 3 years.
  • In lieu of experience, may consider accepting a diploma from an accredited driving school or a combination of driving and prior Airgas specific experience.
  • Proficient working knowledge of Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Requires frequent use of a computer, telephone and operation of a motor vehicle.
  • Ability to regularly lift and move up to 60 pounds with or without the use of a hand truck for distances up to 25 feet. May be required to transport and move up to 800 pounds with the use of material handling equipment.
  • Lives by Airgas safety programs, OSHA, and all related rules, regulations, procedures which are applicable to this position’s responsibilities.
