About Us
If you are interested in working in a counseling setting with adolescents and helping them to make positive changes in their lives, we invite you to apply to join our team. WayPoint Academy is a specialized treatment center of 36 students and is dually-licensed as a residential treatment center and independent school. We are located in scenic Huntsville, Utah and provide clinical treatment to teens ages 13-18 who struggle with the debilitating effects of anxiety and depression.
Role
Youth Mentors assist in the development and treatment of our students and making a positive impact in their lives. Responsibilities include providing role modeling and skills training in a milieu setting to adolescents experiencing anxiety and depression issues. Youth Mentors on the 3rd shift assist in maintaining a safe, clean therapeutic environment. Tasks include monitoring students during their sleep hours.
Qualifications
- Have a high school diploma;
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Successful completion of a background check.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
Position Information
- Thursday - Sunday, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- Starting wage $16.75/hr. Upon successfully completing first 90 days, $17.50.
- WayPoint Academy is located just 20 minutes east of Ogden.
